Former Indian cricketer and the current head coach of the Indian men’s cricket team, Rahul Dravid, stole all the limelight as he was spotted standing and waiting at a polling booth in Bengaluru on April 26th to cast his vote like any other citizen of the country.

Rahul Dravid Waits In A Queue Like A Common Man To Cast Vote

Dravid’s gesture of standing in a queue and casting his vote highlighted the importance of civic responsibility and urged others to participate in the democratic process by voting.

In a video, that is now going viral on the internet, Rahul Dravid can be seen urging everyone to go and cast vote. He said:

“Voting went smoothly, and the process was very easy. It is important to take our democracy forward and I request everyone to step out and vote. I am expecting a larger voter turnout this time in Bengaluru. There are so many first-time voters as well, and everyone must use their franchise. If young boys and girls show up and cast their vote, it would be great,” Rahul Dravid was quoted as saying by Moneycontrol.

Apart from Rahul Dravid, former Indian spinner Anil Kumble was also photographed casting his vote in Karnataka. Kumble shared a picture on Twitter (referred to as X) alongside his wife, posing after they had cast their votes in Bengaluru.

This public display of participating in the electoral process by notable figures like Anil Kumble further emphasized the importance of voting and civic engagement among citizens.
