Suresh Raina Will Not Play In The IPL Ever Again

Former Indian cricketer and World Cup hero Suresh Raina has announced his decision to bid adieu to all formats of cricket, including domestic cricket and the IPL as well. Raina will not play for Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming domestic season. The cricketer will ply his trade in the different T20 leagues across the globe.

Hailed as one of the top-scoring players in the history of the Indian Premier League, had gone unsold in the 2022 mega auction despite the number of teams increasing from 8 to 10. He is unarguably one of the biggest names in IPL history. Though Raina has already retired from international cricket, but as per the BCCI’s rules, he still isn’t eligible to play an overseas T20 league. So, in order to play in different leagues around the world, Raina needed to retire from domestic cricket and IPL too.
