Asia Cup 2022 is just around the corner and the excitement regarding the same among the fans has been increasing with every passing day. Ahead of the much-awaited tournament, Indian captain, Rohit Sharma has shared a strong message as the Men in Blue chase a record-eighth Asia Cup title.

Well, in a video shared by the official broadcaster of Asia Cup 2022 — Star Sports, Rohit Sharma reminded the fans about the importance of their support for the national cricket team. He also urged the fans to rally behind their team in the upcoming edition of the Asia Cup.
On Thursday, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was featured in a promotional video of the marque event titled “Mission Asia par Chhana Hai”. In the video, Rohit said that there’s no greater pride than hearing the chants of “India, India” from 140 crore fans. He said:
“Winning the Asia Cup 7 times. Being the No.1 team. Creating new world records. But there’s no greater pride than hearing 140 crore of fans chanting- “India, India”. So come with this pride let’s take the world but before that let’s conquer Asia.”

Asia Cup 2022 will be hosted by the former champions Sri Lanka in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this month. The 15th edition of the Asia Cup will kickstart on August 27th, with hosts Sri Lanka playing against Afghanistan in the season opener. Defending Champions Indian cricket team will kickstart their campaign with a match against arch-rivals Pakistan.
