A year ago, DK was on-air as a commentator for SkySports and was ruled out as a player by many experts and cricketers. Also with age not on his side and many young talented keeper-batters in the Indian squad including Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan, no one would have thought that DK had a chance of playing for the Indian cricket team again.
However, fast forward to present, Dinesh Karthik made one of the most astonishing comebacks in the history of Indian cricket. His career graph took an incredible upswing after he moved to the Royal Challengers Bangalore earlier this year. He gave brilliant performance with the bat, making some crucial cameos and scoring 330 runs from 16 outings. His finishing abilities and crucial cameos earned him a call from the Indian national cricket team.
DK was back in the national cricket team after almost three years and has once again managed to impress one and all with his sensational performances. It was just a few days ago when DK registered his maiden T20I fifty in the fourth ODI against England.
On Friday, DK produced another stellar performance as he gave a perfect finish to the Indian innings. DK played innings of the match and was even named Man of the Match for his 41-run knock in just 19 balls with the help of four boundaries and two sixes.
