India’s captain for the ongoing final Test match against England – Jasprit Bumrah was in carnage mode on Saturday as he smashed Stuart Broad for a 35-run over. Bumrah surpassed West Indies’ great Brian Lara’s tally of 28 runs, to become the batter with the highest runs in a single over in the history of Test cricket.

Bumrah walked out to bat with all-guns-blazing as he went after Broad to make him relive the horror of the 2007 inaugural T20 World Cup.

Yes, Jasprit Bumrah made everyone nostalgic as he turned back the clock and smashed Stuart Broad to all the corners of the ground. Fans on social media compared Bumrah’s heroics to the World Cup hero Yuvraj Singh, who had scored six sixes in an over against Broad in 2007.

Sharing the picture, the Bharat Army wrote how it is Broad’s worst nightmare. The Tweet read:

Bumrah went all out against Broad in the 84th over of the Indian innings and smashed 29 runs off that over while Broad bowled 5 wides and a no-ball in the same over as well. Bumrah surpassed the legendary Brian Lara’s record of smashing 28 runs in an over by one run, a record that stayed with Lara with him for 18 years.

Jasprit Bumrah remained unbeaten at the score of 31 as he helped the Indian side post a total of 416 runs. His knock was laced with 4 fours and 2 sixes.
