5 Batsmen Who Got Out In Single Digits For The Most Times In T20Is

T20I cricket has changed the landscape of the sport as the batsmen do not care much about their wickets in this form of the game. They only have 20 overs to express themselves in the middle, and the modern era batsman, especially from the West Indies, have raised the importance of big-hitting. The hard-hitting nature of the West Indian batsmen has helped the Caribbean team win the T20 World Cup twice.
However, batting too aggressively could hurt a team also. If none of the batsmen get going, the team would never gain momentum and lose the match. The batsmen should avoid losing their wickets in single digits in T20Is, but here’s a list of the five batsmen who got out in single digits for the most times in T20Is.
Mushfiqur Rahim – 30 times

The right-handed wicket-keeper batsman from Bangladesh, Mushfiqur Rahim has been one of the most successful players for his nation in the shortest format of the game. Rahim has played 77 innings for Bangladesh, where he has scored 1,282 runs in T20Is. Although he has five half-centuries to his name, Rahim has lost his wicket between scores of 0-9 30 times in his career.
TM Dilshan – 32 times

Tillakaratne Dilshan is a surprising name to feature on this list. The former Sri Lankan all-rounder averaged 28.19 in T20Is, and he scored a T20I hundred for the islanders. However, the opposition bowlers did not allow him to score more than ten runs 32 times in his 79 T20I innings.
Kevin O’ Brien – 35 times

Irishman Kevin O’ Brien grabbed the headlines after playing a career-defining knock against England in the ICC World Cup 2011. Unfortunately, he has not performed consistently for Ireland in the T20Is. Kevin has played 89 T20I innings, where the right-handed batsman has aggregated over 1,600 runs. Still, he tends to lose his wicket in single digits quite frequently.
Rohit Sharma – 36 times

Indian opener Rohit Sharma is a batsman who starts his inning slowly. On the majority of the occasions, Sharma gets going and dismantles the opposition bowlers. However, the bowlers have dismissed him between 0-9 36 times in T20Is. Most of Rohit’s failures have come when he could correctly connect his bat with the ball in the first few overs.
Shahid Afridi – 37 times

Infamous for his ducks in international cricket, former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi holds the dismal record for the most single-digit scores in T20I cricket. While his fans can argue that Afridi is one of the most capped players in the game’s history, he has batted in only 91 T20I innings, losing his wicket 37 times in single digits. The aggressive batsman tried to go hard on the bowlers but loses his wicket most of the time.
