Team India and Chennai Super Kings star pacer Deepak Chahar tied the knots to his long-time girlfriend Jaya Bhardwaj in a grand ceremony at a hotel in Agra on June 1. His wedding was a two-day event that comprised of ceremonies including haldi, sangeet, and mehandi.

For the unversed, Deepak Chahar had proposed Jaya at the end of Chennai Super Kings’ final league match of the IPL 2021 season. Chahar, despite being the most expensive buy for CSK in their history, was unable to participate in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League because of injury issues.
He had damaged his quad during a T20I series against the West Indies at home shortly before the start of IPL 2022 and he was transferred to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for recovery. Not just he had to miss the recently-concluded season of the IPL, his injury has also ruled him out of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022, which will kickstart later this year in Australia.
Not wasting the time off-field, Chahar put his time to good use by tying the knots with Jaya in Agra in front of his family and friends.
