Fans Trolled Rohit Sharma For Throwing His Wicket Away Again

Fans of the Indian captain Rohit Sharma were left disappointed after he once again managed to throw away his wicket in the ongoing second innings of the pink-ball Test match at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

During his knock, Rohit put his experience to some good use as he confidently swept and reverse swept the spinners as the Indian side tightened their noose around the visitors. He formed a partnership with his opening partner Mayank Agarwal and together they added 42 runs. However, Mayank was soon dismissed for 22 runs.

But Rohit kept his calm after the exit of his opening partner and continued to play cautiously. He looked good for his 46 during his knock, however, just when it looked like he will reach his 50 soon, he perished by hitting a big shot.

The dismissal took place in the 30th over of the game when Rohit Sharma had enough of his defensive shots and decided to go for a big one. Rohit came down the track but didn’t reach the pitch as he failed to time the ball. The ball landed straight into the hands of Angelo Mathews long-on, leaving the Indian captain dejected.

Meanwhile, fans on social media were left disappointed with Rohit throwing away his wicket once again. There were many who started trolling the talismanic batter for his poor selection of shot.

Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati to this:

In 2 inning out of 3 Rohit threw his wicket after getting set, considering his age only thing I can say.
Rohit never peaked. Rohit never finished. Either he produces a masterclass or disaster. Nothing in between.

Talking about the game, despite losing the top-order, the Indian cricket team has managed to get to a secure position in the second Test match, riding on the performance of Rishabh Pant (50) and Shreyas Iyer (67). The Sri Lankan side now needs 437 runs to win the game.
