India’s newly appointed white-ball captain Rohit Sharma has again reached the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru to start his fitness regime, after a break of 3 days. The star cricketer had to miss the ongoing tour of South Africa due to his hamstring injury, that he sustained a few days prior to India’s departure to South Africa.
He is currently training with his India teammates Ravindra Jadeja, Shikhar Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sanju Samson & others.
The trainers at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) have put a solid training program for Rohit Sharma to regain his fitness and reduce excess weight from his hamstring and knee. If reports are to be believed, then Team India’s new white-ball skipper Rohit Sharma has been advised to cut down on his body weight by around 5-6 KG by the National Cricket Academy (NCA) experts.
Recently, veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan took to his Twitter and shared a picture of himself with Rohit Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. In the picture, Rohit Sharma looked in a good shape. Sharing the picture, Dhawan wrote:
“Great to see these two champions ? Training with them is always fun”

Notably, in the absence of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul has been handed over the responsibility to lead the Indian cricket team in the upcoming 3-match ODI series against South Africa.
Interestingly, KL Rahul is also leading the Indian cricket team in the absence of Test skipper Virat Kohli, who was ruled out of the match due to an upper back spasm.
