10 Best Tweets By Angry Indian Fans After Poor Captaincy Of Ajinkya Rahane: The Kane Williamson-led New Zealand cricket team survived the lethal spin attack of the Indian bowlers to earn a hard-fought draw on the final day of the just-concluded first Test match against India at the Green Park in Kanpur. Ajaz Patel and Rachin Ravindra survived 52 balls in a 10th wicket partnership, which eventually snatched a draw from a certain defeat.

The Kiwis needed 280 runs on the final day and the Kane Williamson-led team came out with a plan on blocking and playing with a draw. The team survived the first session without any loss of wickets as Tom Latham and William Sommerville survived through the morning session.




It was Umesh Yadav who gave the much-needed breakthrough to the Indian cricket team as he struck on the very first ball after lunch and dismissed Sommerville. Soon, Latham’s fighting knock also came to an end and India dismissed another player – Ross Taylor on the final ball before tea.

The Indian side managed to bring back the momentum to their side as they picked Kiwi wickets in quick succession in the final hour. Ashwin and Jadeja shared seven wickets between them, doing the maximum damage on the Kiwis. But things didn’t end there. Just when the game looked in favor of the Indian side, debutant Ravindra joined hands with Ajaz Patel and took the match away. Both the players batted out the remaining 52 balls before bad light ensured that play ended 10 mins early.




Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane has found himself at the receiving end of criticism and trolling as some of the decisions that Rahane took didn’t work in favor of the team and backfired at the Men in Blue.

Team India needed nine wickets on the final day of the first test match against New Zealand in order to win the match after things looked to be on track when Ravi Ashwin got the wicket of Will Young in the third over. However, to everyone’s dismay, Rahane decided to let Ishant Sharma start the bowling with the new ball instead of going with Ashwin or Axar Patel who have been excellent with the new ball.

Some of the decisions taken by the stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane drew a lot of flak on social media and fans are trolling him left, right, and center for his poor captaincy.
