In his first match as a full-time T20I captain, Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first. But just when it looked like team India would run away with the game, Rohit was dismissed after scoring a blistering fifty. Suryakumar too followed him to the pavilion.

The responsibility of taking their team to the winning side was now on the shoulders of Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer. But Iyer failed to live up to the expectations of the game as he threw away his wicket in the process.
