Ruturaj Gaikwad has been terrific with the bat for Chennai Super Kings in the ongoing 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. Chennai Super Kings’ young opener Ruturaj Gaikwad stole the show with his batting performance as he registered a stunning century to his name.

The young opener from Maharashtra, Ruturaj Gaikwad impressed one and all last year, as he turned out to be the rare spark in a gloomy Chennai Super Kings (CSK) season. While it was already too late for Chennai Super Kings, but Gaikwad gave terrific performances to life the faltering campaign of CSK in the previous season for CSK.

In the first half of the 2021 season, Gaikwad continued with his terrific performances in the first half of the 2021 season as well, where he scored 284 runs in eight outings. Now as the league resumed in the UAE, he has been in a red-hot form. He has been giving consistent performances and has turned out to be the biggest asset for his side.

On Saturday, he scored his maiden century against Rajasthan Royals as he took the match by storm. He walked out to bat with all-guns-blazing. Ruturaj kept his calm and continued with his storm, while the wickets kept falling from the other end. He started his knock with a four and ended it with a stunning six.

Ruturaj completed his fifty in 43 deliveries, shifted gears in middle overs, accelerating to the three-figure mark in just 60 balls. His stunning knock was laced with 9 fours and 5 sixes.
