Former Indian cricketer turned commentator Aakash Chopra is one of the popular figures on social media, where he is popular for his sound knowledge and deep analysis on cricket. On Saturday, he gave it back to a fan hilariously, who tried to insult him by making fun of the former’s stats in international cricket.

On Friday, Aakash Chopra took to his Twitter to appreciate the performance of England’s skipper Joe Root. England captain Joe Root, who is in the form of his life, has played some amazing knocks in the ongoing 5-match Test series. After producing knocks of 109 and 180 runs respectively in the first two Tests, Joe Root continued with his red-hot form as he smashed 121 runs at Headingley.

Aakash Chopra, in his tweet, praised Joe Root’s exceptional performances and confidence. He wrote:

“Three matches. Three tons. One of them 180*.
The fact that he’s able to take only the confidence from the previous game and not his score (in the head) makes this feat exceptional. No false shots at the start of any of the innings… Root Atoot.”

As the tweet went viral and caught eyes, fans came up with amazing reactions to it. However, a Twitter user took this as an opportunity to troll the former Indian cricketer. The troll mocked Chopra by saying that Root’s series stars are more than the career stats of Aakash Chopra. The troll wrote:

“Ur career stats r less than his series stats !! Lol”

The tweet soon caught the attention of Mr. Chopra, who came up with a fitting reply to the troll. The former cricketer wrote:

“I have…had a career. You are just being a carrier of hate and trolling. Sending a lot of love ??❤ Get well soon, my friend. Hope one day you’ll have your own face in the DP too.”
