In another episode of the James Anderson vs Virat Kohli show, it was England’s star bowler James Anderson who came out on top again. Anderson once again managed to send the Indian skipper Virat Kohli back to the pavilion without letting him disturb the scorecard much in the ongoing Day 1 of the third Test match at the Headingley Cricket Ground, Leeds.

As the game kickstarted, fans were left in shock as the Indian skipper finally won the toss, after losing eight tosses in a row in the longest format of the game, and decided to bat first. However, the Indian side got off to a terrible start to their innings as they lost their top-order batsmen inside the first hour of the play.

England’s star bowler James Anderson was seen in a red-hot form as after getting rid of opener KL Rahul and Cheteshwar Pujara, he managed to get rid of the Indian skipper as well.

It was a huge wicket for James Anderson and England as they get to see the back of the Indian skipper. Anderson delivered a length ball, around the fifth stump channel. Virat played a very loose-looking shot as he looked to drive through the covers but only managed an outside edge and Jos Buttler behind the stumps did the rest.

James Anderson got pumped up after getting the big fish, which was also his third wicket for the day so far. India is looking in some deep trouble as they are three down inside the first hour of the play.

Meanwhile, fans were once again disappointed with the poor performance of the Indian skipper. Social media was soon flooded with reactions from the angry fans on the disappointing performance of the Indian skipper, who failed to leave a mark once again. There were many who came up with hilarious memes and started trolling Virat Kohli.

Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:
