Mahendra Singh Dhoni is hailed as one of the greatest cricketers to have played the game. MS Dhoni took team India to new heights. He is still the only captain to win all three ICC trophies and also holds numerous records under his name.

MSD broke millions of hearts when he announced his retirement from international cricket. Though he isn’t an active international cricketer, but Dhoni still enjoys a massive fan following around the world. However, unlike many of his contemporaries, he isn’t an active user of social media.

Fans React After Twitter Removed Blue Verified Badge From MS Dhoni’s Account

Dhoni hardly makes any updates on his Twitter and Instagram pages. Infact, Dhoni’s last post on the micro-blogging website is dated January 8 earlier this year.

MS Dhoni’s Twitter account is no more verified:

While Dhoni still enjoys a massive fan following of over 8 million on the micro-blogging site, Dhoni’s account is no more verified. Yes, as shocking as it may sound, Twitter on Saturday removed the blue tick from legendary cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s account.

For the unversed, the blue tick on a Twitter handle is to let people know that the account is authentic. It is believed that if the person has a blue badge on their account then the person must be authentic, notable, and active. While the official reason isn’t known yet, it is speculated that the cricketer’s unavailability on the micro-blogging site might be the reason behind this.

Meanwhile, this activity from Twitter sent netizens in frenzy. This hasn’t gone down well with his fans who just can’t get enough of ‘Mahi’. Many fans haven’t taken this lightly once the news broke out.
