The Indian batting line up without Virat Kohli fell like a house of cards as the Lankan bowlers got the better of them.
India could only manage 112 runs against the opposition which India perhaps took too lightly. As Virat has been rested from the ODI series and the T20 series the Rohit Sharma led team turned out to be nightmare for the Indian fans today. India not only lost the first of the three ODIs but this defeat is one which India wouldn’t forget for long.

MS Dhoni was the only batsman who could confront the Lankan challenge. While he scored 65 from 87 deliveries, other batsmen couldn’t even add up their scores to match what Dhoni scored.

Today India at one point was 29/7 and getting even 50 runs on the board seemed bleak.
