Yuvraj Singh Gave A Strict Advice To RCB Captain Virat Kohli: After a long wait, amidst the pandemic, the much-awaited edition of the Indian Premier League finally kickstarted with a bang with a thrilling start between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

As the match began in Chennai, the skipper of Royal Challengers Bangalore Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bowl first. RCB players gave a stunning performance with the ball, especially Harshal Patel, who impressed one and all with his mesmerizing spell. He became the first-ever bowler in the history of IPL to take a five-wicket haul against Mumbai Indians.

Chasing a target of 159 runs, Kohli and co. kickstarted the game with a brilliant start. Virat Kohli made a few surprising changes in the batting line-up. He himself walked out with all-guns-blazing to open the innings for RCB along with Washington Sundar.

However, one thing that left the fans disappointed was AB de Villiers’ batting position. AB walked out to bat at number 5 after the team had already lost all the top-order batsmen including Virat Kohli.

Fans took to their social media to express their disappointment over AB de Villiers’ batting position. Among many, former Indian cricketer and world cup hero Yuvraj Singh also took to his Twitter and gave his opinion on the same.

In his tweet, he expressed his disappointment over the batting position of AB de Villiers in the playing XI. He also opined that AB is the best batsman in the squad, should walk out to bat at no. 3 or no. 4. Yuvi wrote:

“Don’t understand
@ABdeVilliers17 batting at no 5 !!? best batsmen after opening have to come at no 3 or no 4 in t20 just an opinion #MIvRCB #IPL2021″

However, the decision of Virat Kohli worked in favor of the team as AB came to RCB’s rescue as he played a match-winning knock and brought his team almost on the line to win. He scored 48 runs off 27 balls, smashing 4 furs and 2 sixes and helped his team win the season opener.
