With the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League just around the corner, the anticipation and excitement among the fans regarding the mega tournament are at their peak. IPL 2021 has become one of the most talked-about topics on social media. Recently, South African cricketer, Dale Steyn revealed his favorite IPL team and left the fans stunned.

Well, recently, Dale Steyn took to his social media to host an interactive question and answer session with his fans. Starting the session on Twitter, Steyn wrote: “Keen on a short Q and A? Waiting for breakfast”

The tweet was soon flooded with interesting questions from Twitterati on this, with questions ranging from personal to his professional life. Among many, a Twitter user asked  Steyn about his favorite IPL team and wrote: “Favorite IPL team?”

Now having played for quite a few IPL franchises, fans thought that the answer would probably be difficult for him, however, Dale Steyn, who was quick to come up with a reply. Dale Steyn came up with a very different and unexpected answer.

The fans would have expected that Steyn would pick one of his former teams – the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and previously existing Deccan Chargers and Gujarat Lions, however, not many thought that Dale’s favorite IPL team would be Mumbai Indians. Dale also revealed that his favorite player is Quinton De Kock. He replied:

“All teams, but Mumbai seem to have a solid thing going. QDK also one of my favorite players so always support him too”

Meanwhile, Dale has decided to take a rest from the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League this year.
