Watch: Matthew Wade’s Bizzare Run-Out After Virat Kohli Dropped The Catch

The Virat Kohli led Indian cricket team is currently locking their horns with the Australian cricket team in the ongoing second of the three-match T20I series at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Both the sides are missing their top players from the playing XI, especially Australia as the likes of Aaron Finch, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood missed the game.

Before the game kickstarted, the toss was won by India who chose to bowl first. Mathew Wade gave a solid kickstart to his team as he led the Australian side from the front. He walked out to bat with the word go and took the opposition from the word go.

Wade was able to reach the 50-run mark in just 25 balls as Australia got off to a flying start, however, it was his dismissal which became the highlight of the match. Wade got out in a bizarre way in the 8th over of the innings when Washington Sundar bowled the final ball of the over.

Wade chipped the ball, which went straight to Virat Kohli at the cover. The Indian skipper, who had to take only a few steps back to take the sitter, fumbled twice only to drop the easy catch. Everyone was left in disbelief for a second before a run-ut chance was offered.

Both Wade and Steve Smith were in the middle of the pitch as Wade gave up presuming that he was caught by Kohli. However, by the time he realized, Virat had thrown the ball to the wicket-keeper KL Rahul, who was quick to dismantle the stumps. It was all chaos in the middle but nevertheless, India was able to make Wade go back to the pavilion.
