The Indian skipper Virat Kohli is one of the fittest athletes around the world. Besides his impeccable batting performances, Virat is known for his fantastic fielding performances. It is one of the rarest and heartbreaking sights to watch him drop catches. However, the skipper isn’t having a great time on the field in the ongoing tour to Australia.
In the last few games, Virat has dropped a couple of easy catches and today in the ongoing 2nd of the three-match T20I match at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Virat Kohli dropped another sitter. It happened on the 8th over of the innings when Washington Sundar bowled the final ball of the over to Matthew Wade.
Wade chipped the ball, which went straight to Virat Kohli at the cover. The Indian skipper, who had to take only a few steps back to take the sitter, fumbled twice only to drop the easy catch. Everyone was left in disbelief for a second before a run-ut chance was offered.
Both Wade and Steve Smith were in the middle of the pitch as Wade gave up presuming that he was caught by Kohli. However, by the time he realized, Virat had thrown the ball to the wicket-keeper KL Rahul, who was quick to dismantle the stumps. It was all chaos in the middle but nevertheless, India was able to make Wade go back to the pavilion.
Meanwhile, the fans aren’t happy at all with Virat Kohli dropping catches every now and then. Fans on Twitter are trolling him left right and center over this bizarre incident.
Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:
Virat Kohli can grab the toughest of catches and can sometimes drop the soft catches as well.

Since IPL, I remember Kohli’s drop catches more than the catches he has taken. Just been happening too often. What could be the reason? Is he hurrying into the ball? Is it his infectious energy? @prasannalara @raaravind

Virat Kohli always gives his 100% for all the brands he endorses.
He was the brand ambassador of Uber. He continues to drop people from both teams ?? ? #INDvsAUS
