Gautam Gambhir Ripped Apart Imran Khan’s Beggary As Pakistan Prime Minister: On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a strong pitch for India’s includion in the decisions taken by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) as he questioned for how long will India be “kept out of the decision-making structures” of the global body.
PM Modi claimed that every Indian aspires for India’s expanded role in UN as they see the country’s contribution while addressing the virtual 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). In his 22 minutes speech, PM Modi asked:
“Today, the people of India are concerned whether this reform process will ever reach its logical conclusion. For how long will India be kept out of the decision-making structures of the United Nations?”
He added:
“When we were strong, we were never a threat to the world. When we were weak, we never become a burden on the world. How long would a country have to wait particularly when the transformational changes happening in that country affect a large part of the world?”
PM Modi’s speech came after Pakistan PM Imran Khan reference to Kashmir and criticism of the Indian government in his address to the UN General Assembly. On Friday, PM Modi had called out on the world community to prosecute Indian personnel allegedly involved in “state terrorism” and “crimes against humanity” in Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer and BJP politician Gautam Gambhir took to his social media and took a hilarious dig at the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan. In his tweet, he tore apart the beggary of Imran Khan as he hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his powerful speech at UN. He further stated that this is the difference between a puppet and a democratically elected leader. He wrote:
“While Imran Khan begged UN for money & Kashmir, Hon’ble PM @narendramodi asserted the dominance of 1.38 billion Indians & showed UN the mirror! That’s the difference between Bajwa’s puppet & a democratically elected leader! #ModiAtUN”
