MS Dhoni, who was last seen playing for team India during the semi-final of the World Cup 2019 against New Zealand. However, no one thought that it will turn out to be his last appearance for team India. Following the tournament’s conclusion, he took an indefinite sabbatical from the game.
Ever since the heartbreaking defeat of team India during the World Cup 2019, there were speculations about his retirement. His cricketing career had become one of the most discussed topics in the cricketing fraternity, however, MS Dhoni finally ended the speculations once and for all.
On the occasion of Independence day, MS Dhoni at exactly 17:29 took to his social media and announced his retirement. He shared a video of himself, featuring his glorious career as an Indian cricketer, with ‘main pal do pal ka shayar hon’ a classic Hindi song played in the background.
Sharing the heart-touching video, Dhoni wrote:
“Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout.from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired (sic)”,

While the news stunned everyone, there were many who were left wondering for the reason why he retired at exactly 7:29 PM IST.
