Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh recently appeared on a live Instagram session with India Today and interacted with his fans. Yuvraj, who is widely regarded as one of the best white-ball cricketers of all time, spoke about his former captain Sourav Ganguly and said that Dada is his favorite Indan captain of all time.
Yuvraj, who made his debut under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly, said that Dada always supported talent and he supported all the youngsters he picked to play for Team Inda.
“Sourav Ganguly would be my favorite captain. Of all the Indian captains, he had supported me the most. Dada nurtured young talent. He had said then that he felt like there were 4-5 boys who would help him make the team strong and he supported all of them,” Yuvraj Singh added.
However, in his trademark style, Yuvraj Singh took Sourav Ganguly’s case and questioned his dressing sense. Yuvraj told that he used to tell Ganguly that he needs to dress in a better way when he was the captain of the Indian cricket team.
“We were not impressed with Dada at all. He was the Indian captain, such a big name. So I was like, Dada please, you are India captain, you can not dress up like that. But Dad was like, let it be, how does it matter,” Yuvraj Singh said in a live Instagram with India Today recalling the fun times with the Indian team.
OUR VIEW: Sourav Ganguly shares a very healthy bond with Yuvraj Singh and other youngsters who flourished under his captaincy. As far as Dada’s dressing sense is concerned, we don’t agree with Yuvraj Singh because we love everything that Dada does–from his Dadagiri to his dressing sense.
