The suspension of IPL 2020 has once again sparked the debate on MS Dhoni’s cricketing career. From fans to cricketers around the world, everyone is debating over the retirement of the former Indian skipper and whether he should be the part of the T20 World Cup playing squad.
Several cricketers, recently, opened up about the cricketing career of MS Dhoni. Recently, the former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin talked about MS Dhoni’s comeback in the international scene of the game. Talking about how the decision of taking retirement is his personal choice, Azhar said:
“Dhoni can explain better than me about what he wants and it will be his personal decision. See as of now, the situation is not good and that is why IPL is not taking place and I feel it will take some time to get things sorted but for Dhoni, it is his personal decision,
Mohammad Azharuddin also talked about how it isn’t easy to get selected after a long gap. He wrote:
“Definitely, the selectors will look at the performance because playing after a long gap is not that easy, match practice is really important and it does not matter how big a player you are, you have to play some matches. Practicing and playing matches are two different things”
Besides this, Azharuddin also talked about the ongoing pandemic situation around the country. Urging everyone to stay indoors, Azhar said:
“See we have to follow rules and regulations. People should not gather anywhere. We have to take every precaution as there is no vaccine for it. So, we have to practice social distancing”
