Celebrities in India have come forward in numbers to donate to ‘PM Cares Fund’ after the honorable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi appealed to the citizens of India to help the government in the ongoing battle against the Chinese virus ‘corona’. Bollywood’s superstar Akshay Kumar was the first person to come forward and publicly announce his decision to donate 25 crore Indian rupees, and since then actors, sportspersons, businessmen and common people of India have made contributions to the ‘PM Cares Fund’.

Today, the Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma, who is one of the most successful actors of Bollywood, also announced that they will also make a contribution to the ‘PM Cares Fund’ but unlike many other celebrities, they didn’t disclose the amount.

Our hearts are breaking looking at the suffering of so many & we hope our contribution, in some way, helps easing the pain of our fellow citizens #IndiaFightsCorona,” Virat Kohli tweeted.
