Virat Kohli led Indian cricket team lost the two-match Test series against New Zealand by 7 wickets with a complete white-wash by the hands of New Zealand’s cricket team in Christchurch. It was India’s first test series white-wash after eight years.
In the second test match, the Indian Cricket team fought well with the New Zealanders. However, on Day 3 during New Zealand’s second innings the Indian cricket team was desperately looking out for wickets in order to win the must-win match.
And in the process, the Indian cricket team even tried to dodge New Zealand’s opening duo Tom Latham and Tom Blundell at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch. An Indian cricketer was heard shouting ‘Two’ in the fourth over of New Zealand’s innings by the umpire after New Zealand’s openers tried to take a single.
The umpire was quick to recognize the voice and he told Kohli ” You shouted two there. No you’re not, you shouted here, enough please”.

Earlier on Day two, Virat Kohli silenced the Christchurch crowd by shouting “Shut the f**k up” after the dismissal of Tom Latham.

Virat Kohli also showed his typical ‘Delhi Boy’ Avatar after the dismissal of Kane Williamson as he uttered his favorite word ‘Ben Stokes’ to send-off his good friend back to pavilion.
After losing the series, in the post-match presentation, Virat Kohli was asked whether he needs to tone down his aggression and set an example for the rest of the team. To this, Virat Kohli lost his cool and gave a fitting reply to the journalist by saying:
“What do you think? I am asking you for the answer. You need to find out an answer and come up with a better question. You can’t come here with half questions and half details of what happened. Also if you want to create controversy, this is not the right place. I spoke with the match referee (Madugalle) and he had no issues with what happened,”
New Zealand’s skipper, Kane Williamson was also asked about the fiery send-off by Virat Kohli, to which he said:
“It is Virat and he is passionate on the field. I don’t think we need to read too much into it,”
