We were much excited about the tie breaker T20 between India and Australia after Jhansi was conquered by the men in blue and Guwahati went to the Aussies. But not that what we want is how things always go! We are just disappointed to see the T20 international between India and Aussies at Hyderabad was called off. Did rain wash it? Did it rain? No! The match was called off despite no rain.
WISH TO KNOW WHY? WHY THIS EVILNESS TO CRICKET FANS? WHAT DID WE DO TO DESERVE THIS?
30000 odd fans and millions waiting for the game sitting in front of their TV screens were left drenched in a baffled disappointment when the officials called off the match! The officials and both the captains, Virat Kohli and David Warner came to agreements with the fact that play could not be conducted!
WHY WAS THE MATCH CALLED OFF?
The much anticipated encounter between India and the Kangaroos was called off because of a soft outfield. Hyderabad has been witnessing some hefty rain over the past week and this turned the outfield into anything but playable. Hyderabad has not seen the sun in days and hence the outfield was literally soaked in water.
On Thursday and unorthodox approach was tried where in pedestal fans were kept next to wet patches to make conditions favourable for play. The ground staff did every possible thing to make sure that the game happens but their tenacious efforts couldn’t save the match.
WHERE DO INDIA AND AUSTRALIA STAND NOW IN THE RANKINGS?

After the 3rd match was called off due to hampered conditions India is still at the 5th spot in ICC T20 rankings and the Aussies follow at the 6th spot. India is No 1 in the Test and ODI rankings of the ICC. After a successful hunt of the Kangaroos team India is now all set to hunt the kiwis as New Zealand will be our guests soon. A 3 match ODI series and 3 match T20 series will be a part of the Kiwis visit and the action starts on 22nd October at the Wankhede.
