Irfan Pathan Hits Back At Abdul Razzaq For His Statements On Jasprit Bumrah And Virat Kohli

Abdul Razzaq, the former Pakistan all-rounder, created a stir as he went on to insult India’s sensational bowler Jasprit Bumrah with his statements. He left every Indian cricket fan angry as e went on to call Jasprit Bumrah a “Baby-bowler” and said that it is his unique bowling actions that has made him popular. He had said:

I have played against great bowlers like Glenn McGrath and Wasim Akram, so Bumrah is a baby bowler in front of me and I could have easily dominated and attacked him.”

He added:

After having faced world-class bowlers in my time, I would have had no problem against a bowler like Bumrah. The pressure would have been on him.”

Not just this, Abdul Razzaq also went on to target Indian skipper, Virat Kohli.  He believes that Virat Kohli doesn’t belong from the same class as Sachin Tendulkar, the legendary cricketer. He also stated that the whole standard of cricket has declined. He said:

We are not seeing the same world-class players that we played against say between 1992 to 2007. T20 cricket has changed the game. There is no depth in bowling, batting or fielding. It is all basic now.”

“Look at Virat Kohli when he scores he scores. Yeah, he is a good player for them and is performing consistently, but I don’t place him in the same class as Sachin Tendulkar, who was a different class altogether.”

Abdul Razzaq is being brutally trolled by the Indian cricket fans for his comments. Former Indian cricketer, Irfan Pathan took to his twitter and directed a veiled dig at Abdul Razzaq and advised the fans to not pay any heat to the statements of Abdul Razzaq.

In his tweet, without taking any name, Irfan Pathan wrote how he was also criticized and was called a “gully bowler” but he went on to give them a hard time.

Well, in 2004, when Pakistan was preparing to host India for a Test series, former cricketer Miandad had said: “Your Irfan Pathans are in every gully and mohalla of Pakistan. We don’t even bother to look at them.” And the rest is history. Irfan Pathan went on to take a hat-trick in first over of a test match held in Karachi. Recalling the same statements, he wrote:

“Irfan jese bowlers hamari gali gali mein paae jate hay” par jab jab ye galli bowler inke samne khela har baar inki  gilliyan nikal ke rakh di. Request to all fans not to pay any heat to those unnecessary over the top statements. Just read and ?…. #bumrah #ViratKohli”
