IND vs BAN Match Prediction: Who Will Win The 2nd Test Between India And Bangladesh?

Jatin KhandelwalBy Jatin Khandelwal20/12/2022Updated:08/02/2023No Comments3 Mins Read

After registering an emphatic 188-run victory in the first Test in Chattogram, Team India will aim to clean-sweep Bangladesh in the second and the last Test of the series, starting December 22 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka.

It has been confirmed that India will once again be without the services of skipper Rohit Sharma. The opener had suffered a thumb injury while fielding in the 2nd ODI and returned home for scans and treatment, consequently missing the 3rd ODI, and the first Test, and now the BCCI has announced that Sharma has been ruled out from the 2nd Test too.

In the second Test, Bangladesh will look to avoid a home white-wash, while India will be aiming for another victory that would put them in a better seat regarding the qualification for the final of the World Test Championship.

IND vs BAN 1st Test Dream11 prediction: Fantasy cricket tips for India vs Bangladesh Test match in Chattogram

IND vs BAN 2nd Test pitch report, date and time

Venue: Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka

When: December 22, 09:30 AM LOCAL/ 09:00 AM IST

IND vs BAN 2nd Test pitch report

Generally, the Dhaka surface is the best suited for the Bangladesh team, a venue where they have thrashed the bigger teams because of how spin-friendly it is. The pitch in Dhaka will be much less batting-friendly than it was in Chattogram, which had a slow and low surface. Expect spinners to run the game and batters will be demanded to grind harder than they did in Chattogram.

IND vs BAN 2nd Test predicted playing XIs:

With Sharma unavailable, there is unlikely to be any change in the Indian team. They are likely to stick with 2 seamers and 3 spinners.

India predicted XI:

Shubman Gill, KL Rahul (c), Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (wk), Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj

Bangladesh might bring in Mominul Haque for number 3 batter Yasir Ali, who averages only 18 after 6 Tests. Ebadot Hossain didn’t bowl in India’s second innings, so if he is not fit, left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam is expected to play.

Bangladesh predicted XI:

Zakir Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Yasir Ali/Mominul Haque, Litton Das, Shakib Al Hasan (c), Mushfiqur Rahim, Nurul Hasan (wk), Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Khaled Ahmed, Shoriful Islam

IND vs BAN 2nd Test match prediction: India to win the match

We are predicting India to register another comprehensive victory in Dhaka. Dhaka has been Bangladesh’s fortress due to their spin force against non-Asian teams. However, India themselves have three world-class spinners and batters equipped with dealing spin bowling. Anything but an Indian victory in Dhaka will be a massive upset.
