For Match number 4 of IPL 2023, the Sunrisers Hyderabad will be hosting the Rajasthan Royals on Sunday afternoon at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, in Hyderabad.
Both the teams, on paper, have stronger and more rounded squads than they had last season. In IPL 2023, RR reached the final, losing it to GT, while SRH failed to reach the playoffs.
RR have stuck mostly to their squad from last season, adding Jason Holder to balance the side. On the other hand, SRH have gone through another major revamp, including changing of their skipper to Aiden Markram, and including Harry Brook (for 13.25 crore) along with Adil Rashid and Akeal Hosein to add depth in spin department.
Players unavailable for SRH vs RR clash:
SRH will be without their three South Africans – skipper Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen and Marco Jansen – as they play Netherlands in the ODI series.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar will lead SRH in their opening game vs RR in Markram’s absence.
For RR, Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of the tournament and replaced by Sandeep Sharma. Obed McCoy, who is recovering from a knee injury, is a doubtful starter.
Predicted XI of both teams:
SRH probable XI:
Abhishek Sharma, Mayank Agarwal, Rahul Tripathi, Harry Brook, Glenn Phillips (wk), Abdul Samad, Washington Sundar, Akeal Hosein/Adil Rashid/Fazalhaq Farooqi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar (C), Umran Malik, T Natarajan
RR probable XI:
Jos Buttler (wk), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson (C), Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, Jason Holder, R Ashwin, Kuldeep Sen, Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal
IPL 2023 SRH vs RR Match Prediction: Who will win?
We are predicting Sunrisers Hyderabad to win the match against RR.
We feel that because Hyderabad being a ground that assists seamers more than spinners, it will be SRH’s pace attack that will come good for the hosts, plus they seem to have more in-form batters than RR do, who have a few young Indian players in their side.
