CPL 2020 Fantasy Cricket Tips: Match 28, Barbados Tridents Vs Jamaica Tallawahs

Although Jamaica Tallawahs have won just 3 out of the 8 games they have played, the wash-out against the St Kitts the other day ensured their qualification to the playoffs. Even if they lose their remaining two games, they would still remain in top 4 in the table.
Tallawahs would, however, still want to beat Barbados Tridents tonight and move up the table because if they finish at no. 4, they will have to face TKR in the semi-final, which is a scenario they would want to avoid because of TKR’s current form.
Here are our fantasy cricket tips for match 28 of CPL 2020 –

Pitch Report
It will be the second game of the day and will be played on the same pitch where the first game is to be played. So, it can be expected to be a bit slower which has been very normal in the ongoing edition of the CPL.
The pitches have mostly been low and slow this season and it has particularly affected Barbados Tridents because most of their batsmen like the ball coming onto the bat nicely and not stopping into the surface.
Predicted XI of both teams
Barbados Tridents
Johnson Charles, Shai Hope, Justin Greaves, Shamarh Brooks, Jason Holder (C), Kyle Mayers, Raymon Reifer, Mitchell Santner, Rashid Khan, Ashley Nurse and Hayden Walsh
Jamaica Tallawahs
Nkrumah Bonner, Glenn Phillips, Rovman Powell (C), Andre Russell, Asif Ali, Jermaine Blackwood, Carlos Brathwaite, Mujeeb ur Rehman, Sandeep Lamichhane, Fidel Edwards and Veerasammy Permaul
Top Picks

Johnson Charles has been Barbados Tridents’ second highest scorer with the bat. The right-hander has played high risk game at the top of the order, but has still managed to be very consistent as he has amassed 214 runs in 9 games so far and is in the top 10 leading run-scorers in CPL 2020 right now.
Asif Ali has not scored fluently in this tournament, but he has not looked out of form. He seems to have hit the ball sweetly in most of the games he has played, but has just given his wicket away with wrong shot-selections at times. The middle order power hitter from Pakistan would be itching to make a mark and he might make a big contribution for Jamaica tonight.

Andre Russell has not done justice to his batting potential in CPL 2020 at all, but he is surprisingly still at no. 2 in terms of scoring the most number of runs for Jamaica Tallawahs. The superstar all-rounder has scored 166 runs in 5 innings at a strike rate of 134.95.
What’s interesting is that Russell has remained not out 3 times out of the 5 times he has batted which means he has been slotted too low in the batting order. If Russell bats slightly higher up the order against the Tridents, he might well be able to show his true potential with the bat.
Mujeeb ur Rahman is the second highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 13 wickets in just 8 games, but what’s even more impressive is that his economy rate is less than 5, which is almost unheard of in the shortest format of the game.
Captaincy pick: Andre Russell
Vice-captaincy pick: Mujeeb ur Rahman
Fantasy pick: Glenn Phillips, Johnson Charles, Nkruman Bonner, Asif Ali, Rovman Powell, Andre Russell (C), Jason Holder, Mitchell Santner, Fidel Edwards, Mujeeb ur Rahman (VC), Raymon Reifer
