Wasim Jaffer Hilariously Trolled England Cricket Team In His Trademark Style

Wasim Jaffer Trolled England Cricket Team: India added 78 crucial runs on Day 2 of the Edgbaston Test versus England, carrying on from their overnight total of 338/7.

Ravindra Jadeja, who slept on the score of 83*, notched up his third Test century, and quite possibly his best one, before a late assault from Jasprit Bumrah (31* off 16 balls), which included Stuart Broad conceding a world record 35 runs, as India climbed the 400-run milestone and finish with 416 on a pitch that’s assisted seamers with the new ball when the Dukes is hard.

India were 98/5 at one point on Day 1 with James Anderson and Matthew Potts bowling commendably. Before Rishabh Pant turned the tide, and how spectacularly as the left-hander tore into the hosts’ bowlers, in particular spinner Jack Leach, and registered his fifth Test ton, second in England. Pant was dismissed late on Day 1 having shifted the momentum toward the visitors with his blitzkrieg knock of 146 runs in 111 balls, walloping 20 fours and 4 sixes.

Pant and Jadeja shared an entertaining partnership of 222 runs in 239 balls. It was then Jadeja, who, in the company of Mohammed Shami, helped India go past 370 before falling as the 9th wicket having accumulated 104 runs. India were 375/9 at Jadeja’s dismissal and England would have had hopes of restricting India for no more than a few runs.

But a poor short ball tactic from Stuart Broad and some daredevil batting from Indian skipper Jasprit Bumrah saw England’s hopes dash out in a space of six balls. The over from Broad to Bumrah read: 4, 5Wd, 7Nb, 4, 4, 4, 6, 1.

As Broad attained the record of the most expensive over in Test cricket – adding to his joint-most expensive over in T20Is – India sailed past 400 to end up with 416.

Wasim Jaffer trolls England’s bowling

From being 98/5, it took a mammoth and a memorable effort from the Indians to cross 400, one which England wouldn’t have thought of at the former stage.

Former India opener Wasim Jaffer, in his own style, hilariously trolled the hosts using a famous meme picture of drunk and high Andrew Flintoff and Kevin Pietersen!
