IPL 2022: Virat Kohli’s Reaction To Glenn Maxwell’s Flying Catch Has Gone Viral

Glenn Maxwell took a one-handed stunner to get rid of Gujarat Titans opener Shubman Gill, of the bowling of his countryman Josh Hazlewood. And it was the reaction of Virat Kohli to the spectacular catch that is also going viral as fans just love it.

On the third ball of the third over of Gujarat’s innings, Hazlewood sent down his typical good-length-good-line delivery – on length in the channel outside off stump – to which Gill, the in-form batsman, had a poke at it, but got a thick outside edge which was flying towards third-man. Until it met the giant right hand of ‘The Big Show’ Glenn Maxwell.

Standing at a sort of first-and-half slip, Maxwell judged the curve of the ball quickly off Gill’s bat and put in a stretched dive, unfurling his right arm out, and got hold of the white Kookaburra which stuck in hand and even though he went down on the ground, the all-rounder ensured that the ball didn’t pop out of hand.

He got on his knees and nonchalantly flicked the ball in the air as if it was a regulation catch for the Australian.

Virat Kohli’s reaction to Maxwell’s catch goes viral

Fielding at point, Virat Kohli, the former RCB captain and the ever-energetic fielder, was the first one to quickly come to Maxwell – even before wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik – to celebrate the catch.

Kohli came in running with his arms aloft and big eyes bulging as if he’s seen something insane – Sunil Gavaskar did call it “what a catch” thrice on air; so yeah, it was an incredible catch – and hugged Maxwell first before tapping him on his head appreciating this marvellous grab.

Fans drooled over Kohli’s reaction and celebration with Maxwell.

Here, look at Kohli’s emotions and fans falling in love with him:
