Mumbai Indians’ captain Rohit Sharma is going through a lean patch in his career. The ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League hasn’t been a great one for Rohit. On Saturday, Rohit Sharma, who was celebrating his 35th birthday, was expected to play big innings for his team, however, the cricketer once again failed to make it big with the bat.
On the occasion of his birthday, the expectations of Rohit’s fans were at an all-time high when he walked out to bat against Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals. But as fate would have it, Rohit was dismissed after scoring only 2 runs by RR senior bowler Ravi Ashwin.
As he was walking back to the pavilion, Rohit was looking visibly upset. After Rohit’s dismissal, his wife Ritika Sajdeh was also captured on the camera and she looked visibly devastated. However, in one of the most heartwarming moments, after Rohit’s dismissal as Ravichandran Ashwin’s wife Prithi Narayanan rushed to Ritika Sajdeh in order to hug and console her.
On the other hand, it was a big wicket for Rajasthan Royals and thus Ashwin celebrated the dismissal with ecstasy. The heartwarming gesture from Prithi was indeed a good one. The video of the same has been going viral on the internet and has left everyone in awe.

Talking about the game, Mumbai Indians finally ended their 8-match losing streak as they finally registered their first win of the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. Mumbai Indians finally have a ‘W’ in front of their name in the IPL 2022 points table as they defeated Rajasthan Royals by 5 wickets at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai on Saturday.
