It was a one-man show at the Wankhede Stadium! Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul scored his second century of the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League against Mumbai Indians at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. KL Rahul once again played a captain’s knock and he hardly had any support at the other end as LSG
After being asked to bat first, Lucknow started their innings on the worst possible note having lost their top order. However, KL Rahul stood tall and single-handedly built the innings for his side again. He fought like a lone warrior, smashing the Mumbai bowling attack to all the corners of the ground.
KL Rahul is the only second player after Virat Kohli to have scored 2 centuries against the same team in a season #IPL2022

LSG lost wickets at the other end in a clutch which means that Rahul ended up scoring well over half of the LSG’s runs. The 58-run partnership between Pandey and Rahul helped Lucknow steady the ship however following this, it was all LSG captain. Though, he started off slow but soon in a matter of time the Karnataka cricketer cut loose and the MI bowlers including Jasprit Bumrah failed to stop him in the powerplay and middle overs.
He remained unbeaten till the end of the innings as he played a stunning knock of 103 runs off 62 balls, smashing 12 fours and 4 sixes. All thanks to his terrific knock, Lucknow Super Giants posted a total of 168/6 in 20 overs
Meanwhile, fans on social media were left in awe of the stunning knock of KL Rahul. From cricketers, experts to fans, everyone came up with amazing tweets and posts hailing the brilliance of the talented batter.
