IPL 2022: Irfan Pathan Slams CSK For Putting The Blame On Deepak Chahar’s Absence

Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan has came down hard on Chennai Super Kings and their captain Ravindra Jadeja after the team lost three consectuive games in the ongoing IPL 2022.

Well, defending champions Chennai Super Kings kicked off their campaign in the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League with the worst possible note, losing three consecutive loss so far. Currently, the team has found itself at the ninth position in the Indian Premier League 2022 points table. This is for the first time in the history of IPL that CSK has lost their first three league matches.

After losing their season opener against Kolkata Knight Riders, the team failed to defend a total of 210 against Lucknow Super Giants. On Sunday, CSK lost their third consecutive game as they fell short of 54 runs while chasing a target of 181 runs for the win against MAyank Agarwal-led Punjab Kings.

After losing the game by the hands of Punjab Kings, CSK captain Ravindra Jadeja stated that his side is badly missing the presence of Deepak Chahar. He said that his team will get stronger with the return of Chahar. He had said: “We are missing Deepak“.

For the unversed, the defending champions suffered a huge blow ahead of IPL 2022 when their premier bowler Deepak Chahar was ruled out due to a leg injury.

There is no denying the fact that CSK’s campaign in the ongoing league has been hurt badly by the absence of their star bowler. However, Irfan Pathan feels that CSK can’t be missing just one player and losing three consecutive games. He believes that CSK must improve their performance in order to achieve positive results. He wrote:

“You can’t just be missing one player (Deepak) and lose three in a row. The TEAM needs to step up #CSK,”
