Mumbai Indians Should Retain These 4 Players: The first deadline for the retention is approaching and all the franchises are busy decided which all players they want ton retain before the mega IPL 2022 auction.

4 Players Mumbai Indians Should Retain Before IPL 2022

All the 8 franchises have time until 20th November to make a final call and announce their decision. We understand that it is not going to be easy for the franchises even with all the class, experience and understanding they have in their coaching and support staff because it will not be easy for them to pick just 4 players out of a pool of 30 or more players.

In this post, we will have a look at 4 players who Mumbai Indians should retain before the mega IPL 2022 auction.

1) Rohit Sharma

It is a no brainer that Mumbai Indians will retain their skipper Rohit Sharma and write his name at the first spot of their retention list. Rohit is now the T20I captain of India and a batsman par excellence.

2) Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah is the best fast bowler in India and one of the best in the world. He poses extraordinary skills with the ball in all formats of the game, but T20 is the format where he started and impressed one and all with his unorthodox brilliance. There’s no doubt in our minds that Bumrah will be the second name of Mumbai Indians’ retention list.

3) Hardik Pandya

Although, the younger Pandya is out of form, but Mumbai Indians should back him and retain him before the IPL 2022 auctions. Pandya is still one of the best all-rounders in India and has the skills to turn the match around single-handedly with his bat. Also, he is very young and has a lot of cricket left in him, especially in the shortest format of the game. Not retaining Hardik Pandya would be a blunder for Mumbai Indians.

4) Kieron Pollard

The destructive giant from Caribbean is an absolute legend of the IPL and Mumbai Indians should back him and retain him purely for his experience, if not for his class. Kieron Pollard, over the years, has been a genuine match-winner for the Mumbai Indians and saved the franchise from very difficult situations. So, he would be our fourth pick in this list.
