Virat Kohli Scored His 29th ODI Hundred. And Twitter Was On Fire!

Indian captain Virat Kohli scored his 29th One Day International (ODI) hundred in the fourth match of the ongoing 5-match series between Sri Lanka and India. Kohli batted with a lot of authority and made Lankan bowlers look ordinary with his top class batting.

After Sri Lanka struck early with Shikhar Dhawan’s wicket, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma played brilliant couter-attacking cricket  and scored big hundreds. Both, Rohit and Kohli, looked very comfortable in the middle and middled almost every delivery that came their way.

Virat Kohli was the more aggressive batsman in the partnership as he took just 70 balls to reach his hundred. He scored runs freely all around the park and looked in total control of his game.

Till the time Kohli and Rohit were batting together in the middle for India, the flow of runs was very heavy and Sri Lankan bowlers couldn’t do much to stop them. Kohli and Rohit scored boundaries at ease and they got a lot of support from Lankan fielders who displayed butter fingers and lazy legs.

With this hundred, Virat Kohli is now third on the list of most ODI hundreds, only behind Sachin Tendulkar (49) and Ricky Ponting (30).

And, as expected, Twitter was on fire to celebrate Virat Kohli’s majestic achievement. Here are some of the best tweets:
