Chennai Super Kings is considered as the best IPL franchise for any upcoming player to join and then develop his skills. The likes of MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Faf du Plessis, and several others have ensured that the new players of the team easily mix up with the other players and the team lives like a family. Their bond is one of the key reasons behind their success in IPL so far.

Speaking of CSK, a majority of the players have improved a lot while playing for them. However, here are the four players who could not do well for CSK but did well for other teams.

George Bailey

Former Australian captain George Bailey made his IPL debut as a part of Chennai Super Kings. The right-handed batsman played only four games for Chennai, scoring 63 runs. He then joined Kings XI Punjab and his numbers rose to the next level. Under his captaincy, Punjab had reached their only IPL final.

Wriddhiman Saha

Wriddhiman Saha started his career with Chennai Super Kings. However, MS Dhoni’s presence did not allow him to feature in the playing XI regularly. Saha played 14 matches, aggregating just 144 runs. After moving to Kings XI Punjab, Saha became the first Indian batsman to hit a century in IPL final.

Kedar Jadhav

Kedar Jadhav was a star for Delhi Daredevils. His consistent performances for Delhi earned him a place in the national team. Chennai signed him later, and all of a sudden, his numbers dropped. He played 14 games for CSK last year and managed only 162 runs.

Tim Southee

New Zealand’s T20I vice-captain Tim Southee had played five matches for Chennai Super Kings, where he could take only four wickets. The team management soon released him from the team. He joined Mumbai Indians later and emerged as one of the best bowlers for them in IPL 2016 and 2017.
