IPL 2020: RCB’s Strongest XI If The Overseas Players Are Not Available

IPL 2020: With the 13th season of Indian Premier League is a few weeks away, there was a doubt over the possibility of the cash-rich league. The Indian government has decided to play the IPL without an audience on the ground so that the coronavirus will not spread to others. The Indian government has also banned the Visa until 15th April to restrict the people to enter into India.

The overseas players can’t enter India if they don’t get the Visa. The IPL franchises are not interested to play the upcoming season of the IPL without their overseas players. As a result, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to postpone the IPL 2020 which will now start from 15th April. However, even if the government allows the overseas players to travel to India, the other cricket boards might not allow their players to participate in the cash-rich league.

It would not be surprising if the IPL franchises are forced to play with the Indian cricketers only. But, we take a look at the strongest Royal Challengers Bangalore team if their overseas players are available for the IPL 2020.

Openers: Devdutt Padikkal and Parthiv Patel

Parthiv Patel should open with Devdutt Padikkal if overseas players are not available in IPL 2020. Parthiv is known for scoring runs at good strike-rate. The talented youngster from Karnataka, Devdutt Padikkal has been in fine form. He could not get an opportunity to feature in the playing eleven during the last season of IPL. His recent form impressed everyone as he scored 580 runs from 12 T20s at an average of 64.4 and a strike-rate of 175.8. He also scored a century and 5 fifties in 12 T20s.

Middle-order: Virat Kohli, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, and Pavan Deshpande

The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli should bat at number three in IPL 2020. He is someone who does not believe in power as he can smash boundaries by the perfect timings. Gurkeerat Singh Mann and Pavan Deshpande will complete the middle-order. Both Gurkeerat and Pavan Deshpande are good hitters of the ball. In the absence of AB de Villiers, they should take responsibility and score more runs for their teams. Both the cricketers have the ability to roll their arms if the team needs it.

All-rounders: Shivam Dube, Pawan Negi, and Washington Sundar

The left-handed hard hitter, Shivam Dube has all the abilities to take the role of a finisher for his IPL franchise. Even though Dube has failed to make an impact at the international level, he can smash any kind of bowling attack on his day and he is a good bowler as well. Pawan Negi and Washington Sundar are the two spin all-rounders of the team. While Sundar could put pressure on batsmen in the powerplay overs in IPL 2020, Pawan Negi can take the crucial wickets in the middle-overs. They can tonk the ball out of the ground and the good fielders as well.

Bowlers: Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini, and Yuzvendra Chahal

Umesh Yadav and Navdeep Saini will be their pace duo for the RCB in IPL 2020. While Umesh Yadav’s recent form has been good, Navdeep Saini has impressed everyone with his bowling skills when he played for India. Nevertheless, they are the good hitters of the ball as well. Yuzvendra Chahal will be the main spinner for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has been a key member of RCB since he joined the franchise in 2014.
