Ajinkya Rahane is one of the finest Test batsmen in India. He is technically very solid and plays the game like a gentleman. Over the years, we have seen that Ajinkya Rahane works very hard on his game and prepares very well for every series.

In many ways, Rahane is an old-fashioned cricketer who doesn’t try too many different strokes and rely mainly on his technique and skills to counter bowling attacks around the world.

Rahane is one of the very few Indian batters who has more hundreds outside India. In the first innings of the ongoing second Test between Sri Lanka and India, Rahane batted brilliantly and scored a Test hundred after a long gap of 17 innings.

It was a typical Rahane innings in which he battled hard for his runs but didn’t look clumsy or uncomfortable. He completed his hundred in 151 balls and troubled the Lankan bowlers with his solid defence and astute shot selection.

Rahane formed a crucial partnership with Cheteshwar Pujara, who scored 128 on Day 1. Both the batters added 211 runs for the fourth wicket rescuing the team after losing 3 wickets.

One of the best parts of Ajinkya Rahane’s hundred was his wife’s reaction when reached the milestone. BCCI uploaded a video of Rahane’s wife Radhika’s reaction and you will love it.
