IPL 2020 Auction: Players With The Highest Base Price

The much-awaited auctions for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League are just around the corner. A total of 971 players have registered for the mega event that will take place on December 19 in Kolkata.

Moreover, a list of players with the highest base prices of Rs 2 crore and Rs 1.5 crore has also been announced. More than 50 Australian cricketers have signed up for the IPL 2020 auction.

Chris Lynn, who was released by Kolkata Knight Riders has kept his base price for Rs.2 crores. Pat Cummins, who turned out to be the most successful bowler of last season has also kept his base price in the same bracket. Besides them, Josh Hazlewood, Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Marsh are the other Australians who have kept their base price in the top bracket.

Robin Uthappa, who has kept his base price for Rs.1.5 crores, is the only Indian cricketer with highest base price. Chris Moris has also kept the same base price of Rs.1.5 crores. Both the cricketers met the same fate as they were released by their teams because of poor performance during last season.

Kane Richardson as also registered his name for the auction in the Rs 1.5 crore base price. He is having a great year and has been giving great performances as far as the T20 format is concerned. Besides him, Jason Roy and Eoin Morgan are some notable names in the list with the base price of Rs.1.5 crores.
