It was a one-man show in Dubai International Stadium. On Thursday during their second match, the skipper of Kings XI Punjab – KL Rahul put on a blockbuster show for his fans as he made a stunning comeback into the league.
As the match kickstarted, KXIP were asked to bat first after Virat Kohli won the toss. KL Rahul gave a powerful headstart to the innings and was brilliant throughout his innings. He gave a jaw-dropping performance and made his fans sit at the edge of their seats as he took the game by storm with his bat. He becomes the first batsman to hit a century this season.

Also, with this stunning performance, he became the fastest Indian batsman to reach 2000 IPL runs. In the process, he overtook the master blaster, Sachin Tendulkar, who till today held the record for being the fastest to 2000 IPL runs.
Gautam Gambhir (68 innings) is the 3rd one on this list, who is followed by Suresh Raina (69 innings) and Virender Sehwag (70 innings).
