A test hundred is always special for any batsmen and when you can convert it into a double ton, nothing brings more happiness and contentment. In a test to play a marathon innings your concentration and patience has to be spot on.

But not all batsmen get their double centuries with patience, some like to play their natural game and blast the opposition. These are the batsmen with the fastest double centuries in test matches.

Sehwag owns the list

Leading the list is the former New Zealand batsman, Nathan Astle who got a double ton from just 153 balls against England in 2001. For Indian fans there is delight in the fact that Virender Sehwag features four times on the list of 10 fastest double centuries in test cricket.

He was always played his natural game and has never been afraid to hit a six to get to his double century or triple century. This is the reason why his name features so many times in the list and he owns the list like a boss.

Second on this list is England’s Ben Stokes with a 163 balls double ton against South Africa at Cape Town. Here’s the list of 10 fastest double centuries in test cricket.

Former explosive wicket keeper batsman from Australia, Adam Gilchrist is at the 8th spot with a double ton from 212 balls ana Brendon McCullum is at the 5th spot having hit a double century of 186 balls.
