Indian cricket during the 90s was a time where the sport went through a lot of ups and downs. While the definite positives were the debuts of many legends such as Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly, as well as a time when Sachin Tendulkar was at his roaring best, the match fixing allegations definitely put a black mark on the game.

There were also a few stars who represented the country but then went into oblivion. Here’s what they’re up to today:

Debasis Mohanty:

The first cricketer to represent India from Odisha, Mohanty is best remembered for an explosive spell against arch-rivals Pakistan that had them reeling in Toronto back in the day. He made his debut in 1997 and played till 2001.

He is also famous for having taken 10 wickets in an innings in the Duleep Trophy and finished with figures of 10/46. He was the coach of Odisha from 2011 up to 2017.

After retiring, Kuruvilla became the academy director of the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. He is currently overlooking the Under-17 World Cup in India also.

He took part in the Kannada version of Big Boss before applying for the post of India coach – A role he lost to Ravi Shastri.

Sadagopan Ramesh:
