Cricket boards are the bodies who are responsible in ensuring that players careers are managed, their salaries paid and the quality of cricket is kept at a high level. Here are the earnings of the cricket boards around the world:
8. Sri Lanka:
The Lankans are one of the poorer boards around and mostly struggle with paying their players. This causes conflict between the two parties and many times the Sri Lankan players have refused to play as they have not been paid for months. Sri Lanka makes most of its money through television rights and right now, it is not much at just $20 million.
7. Australia:
Though the Australians have been one of the best teams in the world for many decades, their board does not make much. The Cricket Australia Board made $24 million last year, though their players are paid well.
6. Zimbabwe:
Though the Zimbabwean board makes around $32 million a year, rampant corruption and poor management mean that they languish in the international circuit with players least interested to represent the country.

The Bangladeshis have had a better record and are slowly rising in stature in the international arena. They have a huge fan following that has been growing year by year and their T20 league mints them a good amount. Their annual earnings come around $52 million.
4. Pakistan:
The Pakistan board got a good kick in revenues post the ICC Champions Trophy victory and traditionally they have been a rich board. The Pakistani Cricket Board makes a good $55 million despite not playing at home.
3. England and Wales Cricket Board:
The inventors of the game are at 3rd spot thanks to their good tradition in making sure the sport remains relevant. The English are big fans of the game and they help their board generate an annual income of around $55 million.
2. South Africa:
The South Africans are one of the best teams in the world and have players of the best quality across all formats. They are a popular side and generate a massive $69 million every year for their board.
1. India:
India is easily the biggest generator of income for the BCCI as people go crazy for the sport in the country. Their massive international fan base too helps in making them millions every year. They make a humungous $295 million.
