Here Are 6 People Who Can Replace Anil Kumble As Team India’s Head Coach

After reports of rift between Virat Kohli and Anil Kumble emerged, BCCI took a quick decision and announced their search for a new head coach. Kumble has been very successful as Team India’s coach but his demands including a 150% hike in fees and separate captaincy fees for Virat Kohli were the among reasons provided for the reason for the search of someone to take over from him.

Now, that the BCCI has started the search, many names are emerging. According to media repots, Virender Sehwag, Anil Kumble and Tom Moody were among the six applicants for the role of India coach. Former India coach Lalchand Rajput, Richard Pybus and Doddanarasiah “Dodda” Ganeshwere the other candidates to put their names forward for the role.

Virender Sehwag, who was brilliant in his role as Director for cricket of Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2017, Sunrisers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody and current coach of the Afghanistan side, Lalchand Rajput are in the running. According to some media reports, Richard Pybus and former Indian international Dodda Ganesh have also applied for the job.

Interestingly, some reports have omitted Rahul Dravid’s name but our sources have informed that he is the frontrunner to replace Anil Kumble. Dravid has been doing brilliant work with India U19 and India A and BCCI are keen on getting him onboard.
