1st Test, India vs Australia 2017: Australia won the toss and elected to bat first on a rank turner in Pune. The Australia openers, David Warner and Matt Renshaw showed good technique and countered Indian spinners brilliantly in the first 90 minutes of the day.

But, the breakthrough came when India’s fast bowler Umesh Yadav dismissed David Warner and broke the partnership that was looking very dangerous for India. But that wasn’t the end of problems for Australia. After Warner walked back to the pavilion and Steve Smith was coming out to bat, Matt Renshaw was seen sprinting back to the pavilion due to stomach upset. Matt Renshaw, who was batting brilliantly on 36, followed his opening bowler off the field. Renshaw appeared to be in some distress, possibly related to a stomach issue, and retired hurt.

He was retired ill because of a bad stomach and it added more to Australia’s existing problems.
