One of the strongest teams in the T20 World Cup 2022 belongs to the defending champions Australia, who have most of the jobs covered. As a result of Josh Inglis’ bizarre injury sustained while playing golf, Cameron Green has been added to the 15-man team as a replacement.
When compared to Matthew Wade, the team’s first-choice wicketkeeper, Inglis was the lone backup wicketkeeper. Australia will therefore have to make do without a full-time wicketkeeper in the lineup if Wade gets hurt. However, captain Aaron Finch explained why Green was chosen as Inglis’ substitute rather than a wicketkeeper.
Cameroon gives us better Balance says, Aron Finch

Finch acknowledged that entering the competition without a backup wicketkeeper is a major risk but emphasized the balance that Cameron Green gives to the team. He also lamented Inglis’ unfortunate accident, which occurred when he was playing golf with his colleagues.
“We’re taking the risk and not going with the extra keeper, which obviously has a degree of risk to it. We feel as though Cam gives us a little bit better balance to the squad. That is a risk, there is no doubt about that,” Finch on the eve of their clash in Sydney against New Zealand.
“That was a freak accident. I was playing in Josh’s group and I feel so bad for him. We did not realize the club broke, we just thought he hit it poorly, and he looked down and there was blood everywhere. It was distressing there for a little bit.
Unexpectedly, successful opener David Warner has been practicing with the wicketkeeping gloves in the nets and might potentially be a backup option. On October 22, Australia will face New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Ground to open their season.
