World Cup 2015: Brad Haddin apologises after controversial comments on New Zealand

Australia wicketkeeper-batsman Brad Haddin has apologised for his controversial interview after the World Cup final with a Sydney-based radio station while he was hammered.

Haddin, who was drunk during the interview, said that New Zealand batsmen Grant Elliot and Martin Guptill deserved the controversial send off that they got from Haddin in the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

However, apologising for the same, Haddin has said that they were celebrating a World Cup win and enjoying themselves after a long , urnament, adding that in hindsight, they should have stayed off the radio, News.com.au reported.

Haddin claimed that if he offended anyone, it was never his intention. During the radio interview Haddin had also painted a picture of exactly what the celebrations had been like, revealing little details about the Australian team’s booze-filled party.
